Fall Challenge 2008
On Saturday, November 15th, ITP held the Fall Challenge.
The case dealt with the Broadcast Flag, with teams representing broadcasters, consumer electronics companies, and consumer advocacy groups. Congratulations to each of the fifteen teams that participated! It was a challenging case with many complicated policy implications. ITP was well-represented by all teams. In particular, congratulations go to:
1st Place Winners: Team 13 -- Jamie Guthridge, Ankur Agarwal, Robert Houston, and Colleen Seltz
2nd Place Winners: Team 6 -- Barry Burns, Minotee Joshi, Belinda Paredes, and Vikram Prathap Singh Thakur
3rd Place Winners: Team 14 -- Noah Oloya, Julie Penner and Kanintorn Sriworrarat, and Brian Tadtman

The goals of the Fall Challenge:
(i) provide a valuable applied learning experience for ITP students
(ii) connect students and employers in an environment where students can exhibit their skills and professionalism
(iii) have fun in a competitive atmosphere.
The Challenge features teams of 3-4 participants, many from our Seminar Class TLEN 5600. Each team had 9 days to research and find a solution to the Challenge case. The ITP faculty acted as judges and several local consulting firms attended to see the team presentations, including...
Several Teams took advantage of the opportunity to refine their research and presentation skills, and to gain access to some of the top consulting firms in this area.
