The Interdisciplinary Telecom Program (ITP) at CU Boulder offers a wide selection of study in the most important and emerging fields of our day. Our major focuses are: Digital Energy, IP Networks, Security, Telecom Policy, and Wireless Communications.

We’re well established—we’ve been around for 40+ years; we are hands on—we offer a lab-rich engineering environment; and ITP is at the cutting edge of technology.

We will teach you the principals of engineering and technology so that you can develop and learn along with technologies as they evolve. The skills you get from ITP will stay with you.

CU-Boulder is a tier 1 research university, and our College of Engineering and Applied Science is ranked among the top 40 engineering graduate schools in the nation. The Economist published a survey ranking CU-Boulder the 11th best public academic university in the world.

We keep up with the trajectory of change. The technologies of today are not going to be the technologies of tomorrow. ITP is a program for people who understand that. It’s for people who want to be at the center of rapidly changing opportunities.

We’re constantly modifying our classes to the new orientations of industry, policy, and technology.

This is a critical moment for infrastructure, networks, energy, and the future of engineering. ITP can make you part of it.
