Area of study: policy

Your career prospects will be strongest if you remember that leaders are expected to know about business and management; policy and regulation; and technology—so look carefully at cross-disciplinary programs.  The programs at most other schools lean towards one of these three corners but ITP sits at the nexus of all three.

The regulatory policy leaders from the U.S. and around the world have come through ITP to get our interdisciplinary education, as have journalists and leaders from many professions. ITP offers the most policy and economics of any technical program, to fill a unique gap. ITP enjoys close relationships across CU-Boulder including strong interactions with the law school and its Silicon Flatirons Center, which elevates the debate surrounding technology policy issues, and with important renewable energy programs. You can learn unique solutions from ITP because it integrates engineering, policy, and business.
