This 2-year interdisciplinary degree emphasizes the technology of communications and networking. Note that any set of classes that would satisfy this degree would also satisfy the MS in Telecommunications degree. This means the MS degree is more flexible. In addition, the MS degree has a more standard and recognized meaning. Therefore students are encouraged to apply to the MS degree. The ME degree is retained for historical reasons.
ATTENTION ITP Students starting in fall 2009 - The new curriculum is required for your degree.
ATTENTION Continuing Degree-Seeking ITP Students:
Every three years the ITP curriculum is updated. Beginning in the fall 2009 semester, several changes to the curriculum will be implemented. The NEW curriculum is an available option to current students in pursuit of an MS or ME. However, you must complete the full requirements of the existing curriculum (36 credits) OR complete the full requirements of the new curriculum (33 credits). You may not mix and match elements of both.
