Bio

After having completed a double major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, Rohith chose to pursue his M.S. in Telecommunication at the University of Colorado-Boulder. His areas of interest include Survivable Multiservice Transport networks and Telecommunications strategy. His research titled "Survivable VCAT Enabled Multiservice Networks", in the area of data networking gained wide readership and interest from industry members including ATT Research.

On the topic of the ITP, Rohith truly believes that one of the great strengths of the program is the multitude of interdisciplinary options available for a student to pursue. Having had the opportunity to enroll into Telecommunications, Business, Management, and Computer Science courses in their purest forms and produce published research, he feels it gives a student a unique vantage point on how innovation, entrepreneurship and strategy culminate together in driving success.

He currently works at Level 3 Communications, as a Commercial Services Manager and is responsible for Capital Management, dedicated towards incremental growth of the largest backbone network in the US and Europe. Additionally, he provides Strategic Pricing for all Level 3 data and transport products in the Wholesale Markets Group.

More importantly, the ITP experience engenders a mindset for continuous advancement and elicits the change levers with which to observe, adapt and innovate those advancements. Students benefit tremendously from the interdisciplinary approach and, upon graduation are ready to hit the ground running in industry."
