Bio
Steve Olshansky is the founder and principal of LuminaGroup, LLC. He has over 20 years of business and technology experience, in a variety of positions in the areas of technology strategy in support of business goals, telecommunications, Internet-based business applications development, large-scale web development, knowledge management systems, online communities, digital imaging, and web-based training and education. He has focused his career on integrating technology with
business processes, providing support to organizations in both the public and private sectors, improving efficiency and productivity. He has successfully managed large consulting and software development projects, as well as high-visibility web development efforts, from initial design through deployment, for a wide range of clients.
Most recently, he serves as the technical editor for the HP Security Handbook, and he is a consultant to Internet2 on a variety of projects, focusing on the development of next-generation federated identity and access management infrastructure under the umbrella of the National Science Foundation Middleware Initiative (NMI), as well as working on network security and collaboration tools.
Headquartered in Boulder, CO, with affiliates across the US and Europe, LuminaGroup was founded in 2001 and is privately held.
Education
Steve holds a BA in Political Science from Colorado College, and a MS Telecommunications from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a member of IEEE and ACM.
