Bio
Prior to joining KPMG, Sumi Murty graduated with a Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Telecommunications at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her research at the University of Colorado at Boulder was focused on security behaviors related to computer and network security. She chose to attend the ITP at CU for it's unique interdisciplinary nature. She Interviewed on-campus, with KPMG during her last semester at the ITP and accepted a position as an Associate in KPMG's Audit & Risk Advisory Service in Information Risk Management Practice. She has been in the telecommunications and information systems industry for the past five years, working within the audit and advisory fields for the past year. Her experience in Telecommunications and Information Systems includes work in the areas of risk management, business process improvement, regulatory, financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 attestation, FCC attestation for telecommunications providers and assistance and operational advisory services. Prior to enrolling in graduate school, Ms. Murty worked for a large communications provider of high-speed data, managed services and VSAT services in India.
