We live in an era that is striving towards ubiquitous connectivity. In today's world, not just people but things can stay in contact anywhere, anytime. Few trends will be as important in the 21st century as the complete networking of society. And it's hard to imagine a better place to build a career for individuals with vision to see beyond the ups and downs of short-term cycles than Boulder, Colorado.
Our Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program (ITP) is the nation's oldest and one of the most prestigious graduate telecommunications programs in the world. We offer master's degrees in telecommunications along with professional certificate programs through CU-Boulder's College of Engineering and Applied Science. ITP has honed the educational process for over 30 years to develop multi-faceted professionals who are able to manage the intense and rapidly changing technology environment. This is a field that is no longer a matter of technology alone, it has matured to implicate complicated business and management problems, as well as legal, political and regulatory issues and it is essential that today's managers understand both the technology and complex multidisciplinary environments that characterize the modern network.
Located in one of the most beautiful cities in the nation, Boulder, Colorado, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, we enjoy a wonderful quality of life that is not available in other, larger cities. After you take a virtual tour of our campus, we encourage you to visit us in person. In addition to the rich academic environment here, Boulder is proud to be the home of the National Institute of Standards and Technology and many technology start-ups. Further, we are less than thirty minutes away from Denver, the home of some of the largest and most important telecommunications and high technology businesses in the nation. We regularly partner with government regulators and business specialists to keep our students in touch with the latest trends in technology. For example, in a partnership with the School of Law's Silicon Flatirons Telecommunications Center, we co-organize over a half dozen high-level academic conferences per year. These are just a few of the reasons why students from around the world join our program each year for our prestigious MS in Telecommunications.
For more than thirty years, our interdisciplinary focus has educated managers and academics from engineering, business, economics, policy and legal fields. If you are a serious professional who wants to be at the top of the telecommunications industry, the choice is clear--the University of Colorado's Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program! ITP is the best way to earn the knowledge to network. Plus, you are part of one of the most prestigious public universities in the USA (click here for a fact-based overview). We look forward to receiving your application and to discussing any questions that you might have.
