For students from the United States who intend to study on campus at the University of Colorado at Boulder. In order to complete your application to ITP, please follow the steps outlined below.

STEP 1: Apply online. The online application includes:

  • Application for Graduate Admissions
  • $50 application fee
  • 3 Letters of recommendation

STEP 2: Send additional items to ITP Admissions:

  • Additional Information Sheet
  • 2 official copies of all transcripts
  • GRE (Institution code: 4841; Department code: 5101) or GMAT scores (Institution Code 11S-Z2-95, if possible specify ITP)
  • Statement of Purpose - 1 to 2 page paper containing information you wish to share with ITP regarding educational aspirations, factors affecting your academic record, why you are interested in studying telecommunications, and any other information that you thing might be of use to the admissions committee.  This statement is in addition to Question 6 on Part II of the Graduate Admission Application.

Distance Education Applications:

Students from the United States seeking their degree through our distance learning program should complete the steps below. 

  1. You must meet one of the following criteria to apply to the distance education program:
    • Reside outside of the state of Colorado while taking classes.
    • Currently a resident of Colorado (meaning, you meet the requirements for in-state residency).  NOTE: Students living in student family housing do not meet this requirement.
    • Work more than 20 hours per week off-campus (you must provide a letter from your employer to document this).  
  2. Complete the items described above for On Campus Applicants, but please be sure to indicate you will be a CAETE student on Part I of the application.
